There are severel ways to handle it.
A few tips that can help on migrain is
- Pranayama - Breathe - left nosedrill breath
- A mixture of lime and mineral salt
- Organic Rose tea.
- Enough sleep
Anti headace and anti-migraine pranayama
Sit with back straight on a chair or in cross leged position. Tune in with the mantra "Ong Namo Gurudev Namo", chant it 3 times with hands in prayer pose and eyes clossed, rolled up in in as you "look" at your 3rd eye point between your brows. Take a deep inhale and release. Place hands at your knees, palms pointing up and thumb and index fingers meet ing "gyan mudra". Feel within for a moment.
Now, still with straight back, lift your right arm and hand up and use right thumb to block right nosedrill. Remember to relax your shoulders meanwhile. Eyes as before, slossed and rolled up and in as looking at your 3rd eye point. Begin long deep breathing in and out through your left nosedrille. Neck is straight during the whole asana. Continue for 5 minutes.
If your mind is busy you can internally chant "Sat" at the inhale and "Nam" at the exhale. It means Truth is your identity.
At the end take a deep breath in and hold it for 10-15 seconds. Release and place hands in gyan mudra at your knees, with palms facing up.
End: Hands in prayer pose, take a deep breath in and release, take a deep breath in and 3 times chant "Sat nam". Long sat, short nams.
Lime - salt recipe:
Excelent to stop an migraine. If you take it in the beginning of the migraine you can prevent it from develloping and can make it less to disapear if you take the mixture during a migraine. At least that is within my experience.
Juice of 2 organic limes or lemons
2 tea spoons of good mineral salt
You mix the juice of the lime/lemon with the salt in a glass and ad water. You drink it. It doesn´t taste that good, but it helps :-) And doesn´t dope or have unnessasary site effects and migraine pills.
Another good tip to stop headace is organic rose tea or organisc estetic rose oil drops.
If you have eatable roses, they can have same effect, but make sure it is a type to eat/drink.
I find a good essential oil is good but more effective is the "sense of samathi" powder. Yoy rub/spread a bit in your palms and then slide your palms from over your face, hair and scull.
One migraine trigger is when people do not get enough sleep both during a single night and during long time. So make yourself some good routines with going to bed same time every night, getting up same time a day, and make sure you have 8h or more if you are still tired. If you feel your headace is due to to much sleep, then of course choose another methood, but still keep your sleep patern regular and consistent in good manner with the sleep your head and body need. For most persons around 7,5-8,5 hours
